After mixing the chemicals and letting the VDB solution ripe I was ready for a weekend VanDyke Brown alternative photography contact printing.
You can read my previous post on the recipe and preparing negative.
I exposed the negative and VDB prepared paper to the soft morning light.
The process took only a few minutes. Carefully watching the colour change like toasting bread. Just when it goes golden orange and the yellow disappears completely then right after seems to be the sweet spot for me.
Even manage to do a Cyanotype too!
The Cliffs of Moher came out a bit too dark for my likening. I hope to try some contrast control next time I do VDB.
More to follow!
