As the weather changed to a dull dizzly overcast day, it was time to leave Donegal. Heading southwards through the Barnesmore Gap in the Blue Stack mountain range. While passing through noticing a waterfall within the colored trees. A stop off in this wild place, at the lone standing pub called Biddy’O Barnes before setting off in the rain for a short walk to the Keadue Falls.
The Keadue Falls can reached easily by foot. At the end of a leafy path is where you’ll find the hide away wonder.
Figuring the only way to capture the enclosed waterfall was to remove the boots, socks and roll up the trouser and enter into the dark water. Hoping not to slip with tripod and camera.
Cold ’twas, as the rain was quickly forgotten. After all this a much needed soup and sandwich was in order with the reward of a warm fire.
