Copper shop, Palmanova – Italy

On recent stop from Venice back to Austria, I took a break in Palmanova. Palmanova is a fortified town in the shape of 9 pointed star – See the google map, designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi.

The image taken handheld in the morning, I had no polarizer or tripod at hand, so it’s more of a snapshot but composition and color contract was the appeal to me. Also the shop subject isn’t too typical, I think subconsciously I need a reminder to go back. As I couldn’t decided among the handmade copper objects on display which would make a future gift for someone.  Gift finding is a dying art which no one has the time or commit to anymore, a shame really. So if you are the receiver of a copper alarm clock or copper mixing bowl try to look grateful at least.
