Drava river #2, Ptuj – Slovenia – Fujifilm GFX
Finally the Fuji beast could get its teeth into some clean blue skies with dabs of white painted clouds. Yes, the GFX – the medium format digital camera could finally performance. I had an afternoon of brilliant light in Ptuj, Slovenia.

Down by the river, I had setup my tripod and Fujifilm GFX with Fujifilm GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR. This is actually a lovely combo for landscape. It’s basically an all you need kit when you include a tripod too.

Ptuj is a small town not far from the Austrian border. It features a wide river with a historical town and castle on a hill. In fact a perfect place to make some Autumn photographs while enjoying a weekend away.

The image above of the rail bridge happened to have a train crossing at the time of day. A polariser filter was used to capture the cloud reflection on the still river with Fujifilm GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR set to the wide at 32mm (roughly 25mm in 35mm equivalent terms.)

The chapel image above from the centre of town in Ptuj had this interesting shadow casting across its facade. Along with the clouds I could resist taking this shot.
All in all an awesome day out with the Fujifilm GFX with the Fujifilm GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR Lens. I would certainly recommend this setup in terms of flexibility and image quality.
